A. Study notes: Passive listening occurs when a listener tries to make sense out of a speaker's remarks without being able to interact with the speaker.
Example-students hearing an instructor's lecture without having the opportunity to ask questions or otherwise interact with the speaker.
B. Study notes: Social Scientist have labled the self-serving bias when people try to concince ourselves and others that the positive face we show to the world is true, judging ourselves in the most generous terms possible.
Example-Whe we see someone who was speeding get stopped we say, "she needs to be more careful". When were caught speeding we say "Everybody does it".
